      The book of Hosea has an extensive discussion of Hosea's wife, Gomer, cheating on him and how he took her back. This is then used as an analogy of how God takes people back even after they "cheat on him" by worshipping false gods. (I heard a sermon about this once where the preacher said, "Hosea was married to a beautiful woman named Gomer.     The book got my attention because the author has a book on Khadija too (the first wife of the Prophet Muhammad), and it was an easy read. A non-fiction in novel taste.
